Dragonsfire

Vocal & multi-instrumental quartet

Weddings

Dragonsfire has a wide repertoire, many different costumes and a huge collection of musical instruments. Due to their enormous versatility, the group is able to perform music of various periods and fit in with many different themed events

theming

Dragonsfire is most often engaged to appear as Tudor minstrels, a romantic theme echoing an age of chivalry and courtly love, which is in keeping with so many venues where weddings can now take place, such as castles, stately homes, tithe barns and period hotels. We can advise on all aspects of your wedding day. If you would like your wedding to be tailored to a total Medieval / Tudor theme, we can make all the arrangements for you. We can provide other artistes such as jesters, jugglers, magicians, fighting knights and stiltwalkers, as well as hire of flags, pottery, place settings, costumes and props through our own function planning company, Belltower Enterprises. We can also help you if you are interested in other themed events.

Thank you so very much for making our wedding day so magical and memorable. Your skill and professionalism is outstanding and a delight to listen to. We will recommend you highly to all. (K&T, Ramster)

ceremony

We can provide music for civil ceremonies and religious church services, and we are quite prepared to make special musical arrangements of your chosen music. We have considerable experience in the field of church and wedding music so we are able to give you helpful advice. Obviously for a church wedding the resident choir would usually sing, but if this is not the case, Belltower Enterprises can arrange a robed choir, organist and/or soloists.

reception

When the wedding is held in church, we would normally arrange to be ready to play as the guests arrive from the ceremony. If it is a civil wedding, it is likely that we will have played for the ceremony. Either way, we can provide vocal and/or instrumental music throughout the drinks reception, the line-up, and around tables during a meal. We would usually stop at the cutting of the cake, when formal ceremonies and speeches begin. We can offer a sung Grace, either in Latin or English, before the meal. For those marrying in December, we include Christmas carols and tunes in our repertoire also.

dancing

Dragonsfire is not a modern dance band, but we do play for medieval and Tudor dances such as Farandoles, Branles and Galliards, and for English Country dances, which are great fun and easy to learn. If your wedding is in a period venue, or if you are having a complete Medieval / Tudor theme, you may well prefer to consider period dancing rather than a disco or dance band. If so, we would need to bring in a Caller to teach the dances to your guests and lead the dancing.

Thank you for helping to make my daughter's wedding at Leez Priory such a memorable day. I am sorry that I didn't get a chance to speak to you personally, but each time I tried, another guest wanted to tell me how much they were enjoying themselves and to praise Dragonsfire.       (S.E., London)
